Status: local browser use is live today. Account, cloud, and paid features are being prepared and may open soon; these terms are ready for those features when you choose to use them.

In one paragraph

RetroBeads helps you turn images and blank canvases into bead patterns. Use it for work you have the right to use, keep your account safe, respect the service limits, and do not use RetroBeads to harm people, break the law, or disrupt the service. Local making stays available without an account. When account, cloud, and paid features open, they add optional server-backed value.

Who can use RetroBeads

You may use the local browser tool without creating an account. If account creation opens and you create an account, you confirm that you meet the account-age requirement shown at sign-in. The planning default is 16+ accounts unless RetroBeads publishes a different legal-approved policy.

Your images and patterns

You keep your rights to your images, patterns, and project data. You are responsible for using images and artwork that you own, made, licensed, or otherwise have permission to use. Do not upload, sync, share, or publish material that infringes someone else's rights.

If cloud features open and you use them, RetroBeads may store project data and a normalized working source asset so the project can reopen on another device. RetroBeads does not need ownership of your work to do that; it needs permission to store and process it for the service.

Accounts and cloud features

When accounts open, they will be optional and exist for ownership, recovery, cloud sync, paid features, and future account-backed tools. You are responsible for keeping access to your email or sign-in provider. Cloud features may have project, storage, file-size, and rate limits so RetroBeads can stay reliable and affordable.

Local projects remain your responsibility. Browser storage can be cleared by your browser, device, extensions, or operating system, so use local backup or cloud features when the work matters.

Paid features

Paid features, if offered, will use a Merchant of Record for checkout, payment, tax, receipts, cancellation, and refund handling. The checkout page will show the price, renewal terms, and provider before you pay. Free features and paid limits may change over time, but RetroBeads will not make a purchase without your consent.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use RetroBeads for illegal, abusive, hateful, or harmful activity.
  • Do not upload, sync, share, or publish material you do not have the right to use.
  • Do not try to bypass account, cloud, storage, rate, payment, or security limits.
  • Do not attack, scrape, overload, reverse engineer abuse controls, or disrupt the service.
  • Do not misrepresent RetroBeads output as official artwork from another brand or rights holder.

Availability and changes

RetroBeads is a small maker tool. We aim to keep it useful and available, but we may change features, limits, providers, or pricing as the product grows. We may suspend or remove account-backed access when needed to protect users, comply with law, handle abuse, or keep the service running.

Export, deletion, and retention

Account controls should let you request export or deletion of account-backed data. Deletion removes account data and cloud projects where RetroBeads controls the data, subject to legal retention duties. Billing, refund, dispute, tax, security, and abuse records may need limited retention or pseudonymization instead of immediate deletion.

Translations and contact

RetroBeads may add translated versions later. Until a translated page says otherwise, the English version is the current source of truth. Reach the maintainers through the project channel that brought you to RetroBeads. A dedicated support and legal contact will be published before public account collection opens broadly.
